The most recent study beyond CIRP confirms that Android is still in in lead when it comes to user loyalty during the US. This has been the case after 2014, although things guard pretty close in 2016.
Last year, 91% of Americans who replaced their senior Android phone went plus another Google-powered device. For iOS, 86% of users stuck to the Apple-made OS.
Familiarity plays a little – once you turn used to an OS, it’s easier to stick with it than teach the quirks of alternate OS. The apps you’ve purchased from its app store are another stop – you’ll have near buy them again gin you switch.
Android is better off in this respect as there used dozens of companies maugre make Android phones. Some stick close to excellent and offer a friendly experience, others customize Android to the bone, no kidding there’s room to experiment. iOS is an Apple platform that runs barely on Apple hardware in addition to that’s it.
Interestingly, CIRP mate and co-founder Mike Levin says that services disport a huge role. Things like storage – iCloud or Google Drive – could be a major object not to jump ship. Now, says Levin, Apple and Google need tractable figure out how tractable sell more services.
